During its two-day halt at Alipurduar, SECAS registered over 8,000 visitors. In spite of the ongoing winter vacation in schools and colleges, more than 1,800 students from 25 different educational institutes visited the exhibition train.

Apart from the activities in Kids Zone, JOS Lab and Platform Activities, SECAS team also conducted two Outreach Programs at Mcwilliam High School and Railway High School, Alipurduar, in which different activities like discussions on ‘Climate Change’, ‘Footprint vs. Handprint’ and ‘My Earth My Responsibility’ were organized. Additionally, on both the days at Alipurduar, SECAS team conducted Teachers Orientation session for Primary teachers, orientating them towards Hands-on teaching, in which different models based on some of the fundamental concepts of Science were demonstrated.

On the last day of the halt, SECAS team also celebrated National Youth Day (12 January) by conducting different activities and competitions at the platform for students and visitors. Besides, the team members also participated in a marathon run that was organized at Alipurduar.

At Alipurduar, SECAS team received help and support from teams from CEE (Kolkata) along with Shrushti NGO, Coochbehar in conducting the Platform Activities.

After a successful two-day halt at Alipurduar, SECAS team once again packed up and made preparation for their departure to the next station – Ambika Kalna.
